This 90-minute live virtual session introduces HEAL’s core public health framework for understanding, identifying, and responding to human trafficking

Course Overview:

Human Trafficking: Foundations for Recognition and Response draws on HEAL's public health framework for understanding, identifying, and responding to human trafficking. Delivered as a 90-minute live virtual session, this foundational training gives participants shared language and practical tools for recognition and response across sectors.

In this course, you’ll learn to:

  • Key definitions and common misconceptions about human trafficking
  • Explore how health systems intersect with trafficking prevention and response
  • Apply foundational principles of trauma-informed, survivor-centered care
  • Get an introduction to HEAL's PEARR Tool and Protocol Toolkit
