Volunteer Opportunity: Licensed Providers Needed to Support Remission for Trafficking Survivors
Survivors of online exploitation need your help. Join an upcoming info session to learn how licensed health and mental health providers can support survivor remission efforts.

The Department of Justice has opened a remission process for survivors who were trafficked or exploited online through platforms like Backpage and CityXGuide. While survivors may be eligible for financial compensation, the application process can be complex—often requiring documentation from licensed health and mental health professionals.
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is connecting survivors with pro bono attorneys to assist with their petitions. However, many cases hinge on access to medical and psychological documentation to support claims of harm and loss. This is where you come in.
HEAL Trafficking is proud to partner with NCMEC to connect licensed providers with this critical effort. This is a virtual volunteer opportunity that allows professionals to support survivors remotely by offering their clinical expertise.
