Leanne Desselle is the Director of Education and Engagement at HEAL Trafficking, Her approach to anti-human trafficking work draws on her experience managing and implementing multi-disciplinary victim service programs in Louisiana, informing her ability to craft strategies that are both practical and impactful. Central to Leanne's work is her focus on evidence-based, trauma-informed practices, which she integrates into her training and technical assistance efforts. She has been a featured expert speaker, trainer, and technical assistance consultant for national organizations, including: the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the U.S. Bureau of Justice Assistance, the U.S. Office for Victims of Crime, Freedom Network USA, and the HEAL Network.

Leanne holds a Master of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies, where she concentrated on Human Rights and Human Trafficking. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations with a minor in Political Science from Linfield.
